The Z-PRO STI HAND taps are designed for general-purpose usage in small and large batch quantity jobs that require the most economical tool life. These taps are designed to thread steels and ferrous materials that produce stringy chips. They are also ideal for brass and plastics. Z-PRO STI-HT taps are recommended for tapping through holes or blind bottoming holes where the hole depth is great enough to allow chip accumulation at the bottom of the hole.
