A Point of Attachment (POA) consists of a regulator, pressure gauge, safety relief valve, and fittings matching the respirator being used. The remote air manifold (POA) assembly becomes the NIOSH attachment point for the respirator(s) and is now limited to a maximum 300 feet of breathing air hose from the air outlet fitting on the remote POA box. POA’s may be used in wet and/or hazardous locations. Grade-D Breathing air, such asfrom a Breather Box®, must be supplied to all POA’s.
